general description:

     1. multi-pvc is only operational if the isp supports this function.
     2. if the isp supports only one pvc then "ubr" of qos should be selected for internet access.
     3. there is a maximum of 8 pvcs at this firmware version, and will increase to 16 in the future.
     4. for firmware version prior to v2.5, vigor's default is for 2 pvc channels.
     5. while each pvc channel may be configured and enabled, only one of them can access the internet at a time.

please follow the step to config your internet access for multi-pvc configuration:

1. select [quick setup]->[internet access setup], and click [ multi-pvcs].

2. selec [auto detect atm/dsl setting] to auto-detect the vpi/vci, protocol and encapsulation of the isp. alternatively, enable at least one pvc for the router to try for the isp configuration.

     for isps who supports only one pvc, "ubr"should be selected for atm5 qos type, other than the other 4 types: cbr, abr, nrtvbr and rtvbr.

     only one pvc for internet access is supported at this time, however, in the future there can be multiple services to be supported by multi-pvc for the same internet access. such services may include: voip, vod, multimedia and so on.

3. go to step 4 for pppoa protocol, or step 5 for mpoa protocol.

4. select [quick setup]->[internet access setup]->[ pppoe/pppoa].

     select channel 1 of the multi-pvc channels. in the above example only channel 1 is set for pppoa.

     goto step 6.

5. select [quick setup]->[internet access setup]->[ mpoa(rfc1483/2684)].

     select channel 2 of multi-pvc channels. in the above example only channel 2 is set for mpoa.

6. click "ok" to restart the system.

7. if no parameters are entered/selected in step 2, a warning message will appear for step 4 [pppoe/pppoa] or step 5 [mpoa(rfc1483/2684)].
